PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Real McCoys is an American sitcom about the McCoy family originating from the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia – from the fictional place named Smokey Corners. The family relocated to California to live and work on a farm they inherited from a relative. The family consists of Grandpa Amos McCoy (Walter Brennan), his grandson Luke (Richard Crenna), Luke’s new wife Kate (Kathleen Nolan), Luke’s teenage sister Tallahassie “Hassie” (Lydia Reed), and his 11-year-old brother “Little Luke”. The McCoys join the Grange farm association and hire Pepino Garcia (Tony Martinez) as their foreman. Pepino becomes an American citizen and assumes the surname “McCoy”. Grandpa Amos is quick to give advice to his three grandchildren and wonders how his neighbors ever managed without him.
